I can’t believe the Mommy Madness promotion is coming to an end this Friday! The 8 weeks we have been driving and blogging about the Chevy Traverse have flown by. In part because it’s just been such a pleasure to drive this car around.
I was asked by the Marketing people (who do all the real work on this promotion) if “I would be interested in hosting a party to celebrate the end the promotion and let my friends test-drive the car” in a fun, relaxed environment and they would “all get Massage Envy gift certificates for a free massage”.
Um, let me think… HECK YEAH!So, last night, I hosted a “Traverse Tryst” in my front yard. Sarge and Dusty from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine were kind enough to dive over to Park Cities and take all my friends and neighbors on test drives around the neighborhood.
One by one they went, driving the Traverse. The thing I heard most throughout the night as people were exiting the car or talking to other guests about their drive was, “It’s such a great ride!”
I think people who are used to driving a SUV (which is built on a truck frame so it’s bouncy) are really surprised by what a smooth ride the Traverse is (because it’s built on a car frame and it’s smoooooooooooooth). It’s one of the biggest selling points of the car, in my opinion, because it is such a comfortable ride. So, there was test-driving, there was soda slurping, there was cookie munching, there were kids climbing in and out and all over the car. It was a great night, a lot of fun and a great way to end this experience.
