2011 Emmy Fashions: Best & Worst Dressed

I love awards shows. I usually don't give a hoot about who wins or loses, for me, these shows are all about the fashions; from hair to accessories to gowns and shoes. It's a chance to see the latest trends in color and style.  The glitter, the sparkle, the glamor... Some got it right and some got it Oh So wrong at last night's Emmy Awards!

Hollywood's A-list ladies were ready to paint the town red as they arrived for the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles last night. Red was definitely "the" color for this awards show. Do the stylists all get together and discuss these things. How does that happen?

One thing that never goes out of style is a little sparkle and bling!

My picks for BEST DRESSED go (from left to right)

Heather Morris wearing Carolina Herrera
I loved the dark purple. No one else was wearing this color and she stood out. The fit is amazing and it totally flatters her figure. I think this is glamor at its finest!

Nina Dobrev wearing Donna Karan
I have no idea who this gal is, but her dress made me want to figure it out. I'm not usually a fan of strapless gowns, but this gown fits her like a glove and I think the pleating detail at the bottom is magnificent

Amy Poehler wearing Peter Som
Simplicity at it's finest.  Perfect hair and accessories to compliment the dress and the color is amazing.

Kate Winslet wearing Elie Saab
Do you even need an explanation? Perfection from head to toe. Simple cut, amazing fit, love the plunging neckline. Sexy without showing too much. Very classy. I would like one in every color, please.

My picks for WORST DRESSED go (from left to right)

Katie Holmes wearing Calvin Klein
This dress is too informal for this awards show and the fit is all wrong.

Heidi Klum wearing Christian Siriano
The mushroom color is drab and the asymmetrical explosion of pouf at the bottom is just plain hideous

Olivia Munn wearing Carolina Herrera
She and Katie Holmes thought they were going to a dinner party. Love the color, but again, this dress is too informal for this awards show and the baggy fit is all wrong.

Do you agree or disagree with my picks? Discuss.
