Dallas Fashion Week Designer Profile: Rovina Outar

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is happening February 9-16 in New York City. Buyers, bloggers, stars and stylists from all over the world will be descending on the Big Apple this week to decide what we will be wearing this Fall. I thought I would refocus your attention to the tremendous talent pool we Dallasites are lucky enough to have right in our own backyard!

Meet Rovina Outar

La Mère Couture is a high end fashion women clothing boutique with designs by up-and-comer Rovina Outar.  “My designs are an art form,” Outar explains. “All women in today’s society should be able to wear beautiful art, no matter what they do for a living or their income level.” Lisa Petty at DFW Style Daily describes Outar's designs as "dazzling".

Her website describes the line as:
Catering to all women who are seeking their own style, and unique flair. Designing couture dresses that will make any women beautiful. Also offering accessories and personal styling assistance creating transverse and unprecedented fashion trends.

La Mère Couture brings to customers a way of being individual and dynamic, where the French tradition merges with creative experimentation on materials, colors and styles. Dresses are made with the finest quality of fabrics combined with unique style and glamour. Bringing the latest emerging trends, an original approach to the world of fashion. A creative way of designing, and always on the lookout for new styles and fabric.

You can check out the Spring Collection from La Mère Couture where she will be one of the featured designers at The Pin Show on February 23.  This high energy annual event has become known for featuring the latest in locally produced, independent fashion on a runway, boasting over 150 looks from more than 30 designers.  While most designers are Texas based, the most recent Pin Show featured designers from Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

Outar’s designs are available at her boutique La Mère Couture, located at the Village at Fairview. While a limited supply of styles and sizes are stocked in-store, most dresses are made to order for each client.
