Discover Lake Living at Long Cove on Cedar Creek Lake

This past weekend I was lucky enough to get to spend a few days at Long Cove.  This paradise is a new, private residential community located just over an hour from Dallas on Cedar Creek Lake built to give North Texas families a close-to-home getaway that promotes an unplugged, relaxing and family-oriented experience.  The developer modeled his vision for this new community after the beach towns of Watercolor and Seaside, Florida and he did an AMAZING job.  Situated on more than six miles of pristine shoreline in Cedar Creek’s deep waters and spanning more than 1,000 acres, the Long Cove property has been untouched for nearly 80 years.

Long Cove offers special home sites for waterside cottages, lakefront homes and family compounds, which can all be built-to-suit, accommodating the unique needs of each resident.  Now, I know lots of people who own homes at various lakes, including Cedar Creek Lake, but this place is the mack daddy of developments because not only do you get a great piece of property, but Long Cove is jam packed with amenities including The Lake Club which flanks two resort-style swimming pools and houses a state-of-the-art workout facility and a game room with pool and ping pong tables. Outside, there's a 125-foot water slide, community dock, cottage owner docks, hiking & biking trails, playing field, toy barn, tennis & sport courts (still being built), amphitheater, fishing pond, PGA quality Golf practice facility & “barefoot golf course”.  Not too shabby.

Here's my 15 second video tour:
