Dallas Cowboys Practice at Highland Park High School

Alex Stein with Cowboys Demarcus Ware, Jason Witten, Brandon Carr and Dez Bryant

ESPN reported earlier today that the Dallas Cowboys were unable to clear enough of the field to practice at Valley Ranch because of Thursday night's ice storm, so they moved today’s practice to Highland Park High School’s indoor facility.

Shows what a lousy detective I am. I live 3 blocks from the high school and never noticed the activity!

The Cowboys attempted to clear enough space on one of their two practice fields, but coach Jason Garrett said they would have needed a few more hours to get it ready. The Cowboys also considered using the indoor facility at Coppell High School, which is closer to Valley Ranch, but the Highland Park facility was larger.  Reality TV's Alex Stein is a Highland Park High School alumni who caught wind of the visit and moseyed on over to check it out.  He reports that "all the players (he encountered) were very nice" - as witnessed by the selfies Alex snapped above.  Let's hope the change of pace helps put some pep into the Cowboys game against the Chicago Bears this Monday night.  You can catch the game on KTXD at 7:40pm.
