Warwick Melrose Hotel Celebrates 90-Year Anniversary

Dallas’ historic Warwick Melrose Hotel marks its 90th anniversary in 2014 and the hotel invites everyone to celebrate by offering a 90-cent glass of sparkling wine with any meal at The Landmark Dine & Wine restaurant or The Library bar through December 30, 2014.

Built in 1924, the Warwick Melrose was originally an apartment building with some hotel rooms. Throughout its history, the hotel has attracted many internationally known personalities, from Elizabeth Taylor to Tom Hanks. Today, the AAA Four-Diamond hotel is luxuriously restored and known for its gracious service and classic elegance.  For decades, the Landmark has been the setting for countless esteemed business breakfasts, romantic dinners and stylish Sunday brunches. Great Dallas chefs such as Kent Rathbun have helmed the kitchen. Today, Executive Chef Mike Pacheco and his staff continue to deliver exceptional cuisine, much of it locally sourced, in an upscale, comfortable atmosphere. (The Landmark Dine & Wine holds the AAA Four-Diamond award and the Wine Spectator Award for 2013.) From an Angus Filet Benedict to a Vegetarian Noodle Bowl, the globally inspired menu offers an enticing array of selections, and the wine list boasts almost 200 wines, starting at $9 per glass up to $850 for a bottle of 1998 Veuve Clicquot Champagne.

One of the reasons this iconic hotel is still a hot spot is the hotel's Library Bar. Named "the Top Place to Sip and Sup" by the Wall Street Journal, "Best Bar in the Greatest City on Earth" by Maxim Magazine, one of the best "Seduction Spots for America's Best Bars" by Playboy Magazine and Consistently Chosen as one of Dallas' best Piano Bars, The Library bar offers a Comprehensive Menu of Classic Cocktails, Beer and Wine and an Extensive Menu of Snacks, Small plates and Large Plates, something for anyone's appetite.

A line-up of five world-class artists wow guests with a dazzling variety of music genres. Pianist and vocalist Pat Peterson has toured with Ray Charles. The stunning Aubree-Anna, in addition to serenading patrons on Saturday night in The Library, is set to make her film debut in the upcoming feature “Valley of Bones.”

Warwick Melrose Hotel offers 184 distinctive guest rooms, and is a highly sought after venue for meetings, weddings and celebrations for up to 300 guests. Event space will more than double when a new conference center opens in 2015. Warwick Melrose Hotel is located at 3015 Oak Lawn Ave. (Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs).
