Killer SuperBowl Snack Recipe

Are you planning a SuperBowl party? I'm pretty sure you already know this, but there are 2 things necessary to ensure the success of any game day event. 1) You must have a BIG television or several sets so everyone has a good view of the game. Keep all of your TVs on in adjoining rooms, like the kitchen, so guests don't miss a thing as they wander around the party. 2) You must have LOTS of cold beer and plenty of great food. Dallas-based Killer Pecans offered up this old family recipe for Killer Spice Popcorn that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Salty and sweet with a bit of heat. I can't wait to make it for my guests!

Killer Spice Popcorn:

2 tbs. Oil
1/2 cup Popcorn kernels
3 tbs. Butter, melted
1 tbs. KillerSpiceRub ( a similar option avail. at any grocery would be Tony Chachere's)
1 cup KillerPecans (or your choice of pecans)

YIELDS: 10 cups

Add the oil and the popcorn kernels to a medium sized pot and cover with a lid. (This will grow to 10 cups so choose a big enough pot to hold it all). Heat over high heat until the popcorn begins to pop.
Continue until the popping slows down to about 1 pop every 3 seconds. Turn off the heat and allow it to sit with the lid on for a few minutes just to make sure all the popping is done. Drizzle the melted butter over the popped corn and gently fold it in with a spoon. Shake the Killer Spice Rub over the corn and gently mix in. Add some Killer Pecans and you are ready to eat!! Get in the kitchen and make some!
