Steel Restaurant and Lounge is celebrating their 15th anniversary this month with a #TBTSteel15 event featuring a throwback Steel tradition of free sushi on Thursday, November 19th from 5 to 7:30 p.m. In addition to paying homage to Steel’s origins with free sushi for #TBTSteel15, the evening will also feature $15 sake flights, $3 off cocktails, $12 Veuve Cliquout and $9 Rombauer.

The restaurant will host giveaways throughout the night including:
· Sake package inclusive of sake, ceramic sake bottles and sake glasses
· Sushi package inclusive of sushi rolling mats, sushi vinegar, a sushi cookbook and two tickets to Steel’s next Sushi 101 class
· Wine package inclusive of exclusive bottles of wine, wine glasses, a wine bottle opener and two tickets to Steel’s next wine or champagne social
· Complimentary New Years Eve dinner for two at Steel

“One thing that we hear often when talking to our clients is the free sushi on Thursday nights we featured in the past,” says Brad Crouch, general manager of Steel Restaurant and Lounge. “We want to celebrate our loyal customers and 15 years of serving Dallas by bringing back one of Steel’s most beloved specials for one night of festivities. We want our guests to know we appreciate their continued support throughout the years.” This milestone is also marked by the appointment of TJ Lengnick, who brings a tenured career as executive chef with over seven years of experience in cooking at an Asian restaurant to his role at Steel. Prior to Steel, Lengnick has overseen and managed kitchens at Shinsei, Sfuzzi, Whiskey Cake and more. In his new role as executive chef at Steel, Lengnick is the driving culinary force behind the restaurant’s menu. Guests can expect to see Lengnick’s interpretation on seasonal dishes with all of their favorite dishes still remaining on the menu. “Cooking Asian food has always been an interest of mine and Steel allows me to get back to my passion,” says Chef TJ Lengnick. “I will continue to create our guest’s favorite dishes while adding my own seasonal creations. I plan on bringing creativity and bold flavors to the menu to produce something that our clients will be excited about. ”
