A home is more than four walls and a roof. A home is a haven, a place to feel safe and secure. It’s a place to thrive, revive and grow. Dwell with Dignity’s annual Thrift Studio pop-up shop is an opportunity to celebrate beauty and creativity while helping others come home — in the truest sense of the word. A fabulous cast of interior designers creates stunning vignettes using items from Dwell with Dignity’s warehouse as well as pieces from their own inventory or decor they’ve acquired through industry connections. Each item from these vignettes is available for sale beginning at the Preview Party and during the pop-up shop’s 30-day run, taking place April 8 – May 7. The event kicks off with a Preview Party where attendees can purchase items before the shop opens to the public. The Preview Party is set for April 7 and the honorary chair is Ben Collins of Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams and the co-hosts are Holly Hutchinson, Tess Hutchinson Merriman and Rachel Hutchinson. Proceeds from the event go to support Dwell with Dignity’s mission to help families break the cycle of homelessness and poverty by creating beautiful home environments, where families go from surviving to thriving. The goal is to bring good design to those less fortunate, inspiring them to maintain a standard of living they can be proud of.

This year’s Thrift Studio is located in the Dallas Design District at 1444 Oaklawn Avenue, Suite 545. The all-star talent of vignette designers includes: Amy Berry + Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams + Benson-Cobb, Brant McFarlain, R Brant Design + Jean de Merry, EJ Interiors + Design Directions + Duralee, Chambers Interiors and Associates + Edward Ferrell + Lewis Mittman + Thibuaut, Pam Kelley and Shelly Rosenberg, + Loloi Rugs + Schumacher, Robert William Dailey + Brendan Bass Showroom + Robert Allen, Tiffany Taylor and Flann Harris, Scout Design Studio, Shay Geyer, IBB Design Fine Furnishings, Stephen Dunn, Stephen Dunn Designs + Kravet

Preview Party: A VIP reception and preview party kicks things off on April 7. Each year, this must-attend event attracts hundreds of guests, including top interior designers, taste-makers, home bloggers and design-savvy shoppers who come to network, enjoy sips and bites and score first dibs on the merchandise. VIP tickets are $175, preview party tickets are $125. Tickets will be on sale at www.thriftstudio.com.

Thrift Studio: The pop-up shop opens to the public April 8 and then will be open 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday through May 7. The shop features a curated selection of donated furniture, housewares, accessories and high-end designer finds at amazing prices. The inventory changes frequently to encourage repeat visits. Refresh sponsors include Art of Old India, Holiday Warehouse, Ethan & Associates and Lili Alessandra. All proceeds benefit Dwell with Dignity’s mission.

Wrap Party: Finally, a Wrap Party will be held Monday, May 16 at Park Place Maserati Dallas to celebrate, thank those who provided assistance and to announce the results including the designer vignette that raised the most money.
