Parkie Pic of the Week

For those of you who live outside the area, University Park and Highland Park are together called Park Cities. Citizens of these fabled towns are called "Parkies". Hence, my weekly fun feature which I call "Parkie Pic of the Week" in which I like to highlight an unusual or spectacular feature of my neighborhood.

Hey! I discovered a new function on my camera! It's called Panorama. Sweet. I love a new gadget. Although, if you look closely at this shot, you will see that my "seaming" abilities need a bit of work. I didn't crop it quite right and in the middle of the photo you will see where I duplicated the edge of house a bit. Hey, pretty good for a first try.

I liked this house because 1) it's on a double lot. Which in is Dallas is a rare luxury of space. 2) It has lots of trees on the lot. Which you can see by all the shadows on this photo. They made it hard to get a clear shot of the house! 3) I thought it was worth noting that you can see where the original house stood by the steps coming off the sidewalk - and then look left and see where the new house stands. and 4) I like how it's modern, without being "contemporary.

About this blog: What is Oh So Cynthia? It’s a Mom Blog about life in Dallas. You can call me a Mommy Blogger, but I prefer Social Media Mommy.  Posts on this blog reflect the experiences of my life in Dallas and Park Cities, product reviews and my thoughts on parenting boy in this hi-tech, fast-paced world.

  1. Cynthia,

Cool house. Any chance you know the architect?

  2. TRF, Sorry, I do not know the architect. Almost all of my Parkie Pics I get from just driving around and taking pictures off the street. I do not generally know the people who live in these houses or anything specific about them.
