Win Free Flowers for Valentine's Day

UPDATE (2/12) This contest is now closed and I would like to congratulate Katie Anderson for winning the $30 gift card! Katie is a blogger herself and you can check her out at http://modern-eve.com. Thanks to everyone who played along!  Stay tuned, there is always more good stuff to come...

Look what showed up on my doorstep today!

The Koran states, "Bread feeds the body... but flowers feed the soul."

There's nothing quite as wondrous as a flower. Bathed in color, supple to touch, luscious in scent. Flowers can be sexy, sensuous, playful, flirty, mysterious and are always magical to behold.

Emma Goldman said, "I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck." I don't know if I'd go that far... but I do love a fragrant bouquet of flowers.

The Flower Cart is a Dallas florist who would like to make your Valentine's Day - or any 'ole day - a little brighter.  They have given me a  $30 gift card to bestow on one lucky reader.

In case you don't win, you can always contact The Flower Cart and place an order. Steve's a swell guy with a great sense of floral style sure to make your sweetheart swoon!

You can reach them by phone at 972-393-0146 or email them at pcflowermarket@sbcglobal.net

To enter this give away, you must have your delivery made to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Unfortunately, they cannot have orders go outside the DFW area for the purposes of this give away.

You can enter up to 10 times by selecting from the various below:

  4. You can retweet the above copy up to 5 times throughout the day on Friday for multiple entries

  6. Follow this blog using Networked Blogs, RSS Reader or email
You must leave a separate comment for each item you utilize above, so I know how many entries you get. Since I know some of you are blog-comment phobic, comments can also be left on my Facebook Page, or via Twitter. I just need to be able to track what you did so you get the correct number of entries. Leave your comments on whatever social channel you prefer.  The winner of this $30 gift card will be selected at random Friday, February 11, 2011 at 12:00/midnight Central time and the winner will be notified by email on Saturday.

Disclosure: My flowers for this promotion were provided to me free of charge by the wonderful folks at The Flower Cart in Coppell, Texas.  The review reflects opinions that are my own.

  1. I would send the flowers to my current roommate... my mom :) She has encouraged and supported me, letting me live with her the past few months while I've searched for a new job. I think it would be a nice way to show her how much I appreciate her.

Also, I follow you on Twitter and I RT your post.

  3. Who would I send them too...my loving hubby.

Because he supports me, loves me, and is my best friend. He sacrifices everyday for his family, and doesnt mind only having a small part of the closet. He lets me sleep and closes the door when I have cramps...and kisses my cheek just to remind me it wont last long.

I could go on...but thinking back. Out of almost 19 years. I have never sent him flowers. Oops.

  6. wonderful idea, cynthia!flowers are always a happy thing :)

I would send flowers to my mom. She's recently gone through a very difficult divorce, but has constantly held her head high and is-every day-still such a positive and encouraging person to all those around her.

    love your blog!! XO
