Dallas Fire and Rescue, Station 11

We first met the guys of Station 11 through Freedom Day, a local day of service held to commemorate those who lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Because of the friendship we struck up with these guys, our office has kind of adopted our local fire station, Dallas Fire & Rescue/Station 11. I've even taken Little Man down to the Station for a visit. The guys are super cool and let him try on all the gear and even ride in the truck. He loved it!

Last week, a bunch of people from our office went over to the Station for a visit to host a BBQ lunch. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and just hung out with them for a couple of hours. The firemen work on a 24 hour shift for 3 straight days, then they are off for 3 days. Weird schedule. So, it's fun for us to come over and break up the monotony of their routine. They love to have us over and we always have a great time!

Half the fun of going is playing with all their cool stuff!
