Parkie Pic of the Week

For those of you who live outside the area, University Park and Highland Park are together called Park Cities. Citizens of these fabled towns are called "Parkies". Hence, my weekly fun feature which I call "Parkie Pic of the Week" in which I like to highlight an unusual or spectacular feature of my neighborhood.

I've been told that this house is owned by billionaire, T. Boone Pickens, ex-wife. Nice digs. I like the English manor look with the big lions at the front door. This house is on the same block as my friends Venus and Cenote, so I drive by it all the time. I have never seen anyone coming or going. Maybe she's looking for a house-sitter while she's off on the Queen Mary vising her friends abroad? I would like to volunteer for the job!

I really like how the house has a lot of angles. It has a lot of dimension which I find visually interesting.

I love fig ivy and this is a great example of how you can use it to cover a boring 'ole garage wall and make it look stunning. Also love the "family" crest over the garage. Again, very English manor.
