Parkie Pic of the Week

For those of you who live outside the area, University Park and Highland Park are together called Park Cities. Citizens of these fabled towns are called "Parkies". Hence, my weekly fun feature which I call "Parkie Pic of the Week" in which I like to highlight an unusual or spectacular feature of my neighborhood.

Sometimes, it's not the big picture, but the close up that counts. This is a very nice home. But you'd probably drive by it at 40 miles an hour and not think much about it.

But upon closer inspection, I love the detailed molding around the arched doorway. I think the wrought iron detail on the glass door is fantastic. And the landscaping around the entryway is divine and so inviting. I love the kind-of but not really overgrown look. Like they aren't trying too hard to be perfect, but it just kind of is.
