Parkie Pic of the Week

For those of you who live outside the area, University Park and Highland Park are together called Park Cities. Citizens of these fabled towns are called "Parkies". Hence, my weekly fun feature which I call "Parkie Pic of the Week" in which I like to highlight an unusual or spectacular feature of my neighborhood.

About once a month, I'll leave the office at lunch or take a weekend afternoon when I'm out doing errands and drive up and down a few streets and see what looks interesting - and snap several pics to create several of these posts at one time. Then I schedule them out to run weekly. Apparently, the streets I've been on these past couple of weeks have a lot of contemporary architecture.

I thought the roof line of this house was unique and the windows are kind of cool. Looks like a #1 of glass above the front door. Think that was intended? (I'm thinking not.) They have three sculpture pieces in the front yard. If you click on the photo and enlarge it, you can see them better. They are either marble or polished stone. Probably way a ton each, so no worries about theft. The look is a little hard for my taste. But it's different and I do like that.
