Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez!

Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez!

We took this literally Saturday night as we celebrated my friend Nathans birthday. The evening kicked off as Randy and I drove our new Chevy Traverse over to Nate's Seafood in Addison. We ate pounds and pounds of crawfish, boiled shrimp, hush puppies, gumbo. It was sooooo good!

For dessert, Nathan's wife brought out this awesome cake. Look at how amazing this is. She has a woman she works with who makes cakes as a hobby. I'd say she's pretty good at her hobby! This cajun themed cake with crawfish, corn and onions on it was all edible. And the chocolate cake under the icing was divine. I could have eaten three pieces. I have got to get her number...

As we were leaving the restaurant, the valet pulled the Traverse up and everyone had to gather 'round and check it out. After much appropriate oooh'ing and ahhh'ing, we headed up the road to 300 Main to bowl and play pool.

There was a wait for the pool lanes, so the boys played a few games of pool. After a bit, we got 2 lanes and decided to lay boys vs. girls. That kind of turned into the boys competing against themselves and the girls competing against themselves. They can throw the ball so much harder than we delicate creatures can, that it was really no contest who was scoring higher. Plus, I broke two nails! It's not a dainty sport!
I came home and fell into bed stuffed, tired and happy. I feel so lucky to have such wonderful friends who are so much fun to be around.

Gotta think of an occasion to order me one of those cakes...
