Belfort Bash

Every year, Little Man's school has a fundraiser. This is basically an excuse for the parents to get dressed up and party in the name of raising money for our children's education. I'm down with that.

One of the more popular items at the auction is to buy tickets for neighborhood parties. A group of families will get together and auction a party. They underwrite the cost and sell tickets. People buy tickets, the money goes to the school - the party goes on. And on. And on.

This past weekend, we went to one such party called Belfort Bash. Thus named because it was held on Belfort St. It was a Cinco de Mayo theme with a fajita buffet, beer/wine/margaritas and red velvet cake balls. Cake balls have nothing to do with Cinco de Mayo, but they have everything to do with being delicious. I had three.

The party was held (mainly) in the backyard of the host's house. It was very shabby chic decor and utterly fabulous. I had to take pics so you could appreciate it. If you came to my house for fajitas, you'd be sitting on fold-out lawn chairs holding a paper plate in your lap. I have much to do... It was a great party for a great cause - our kids!
