It's official. Fall is here and tackle football season has started. Little Man (#16) played his first game on Saturday and I don't know who was more excited - the Fathers or the kids. Randy asked Little Man on the way to the game, "Are you ready to play?" to which he replied, "Dad, I just want to hit somebody!" Randy yelled, "YEAH!". And in my head, I am sighing, "Oh Lord. This is what I have to look forward to for the next 10 years."
His team is called the "Orange Crush". The game ended in a tie (12-12), so there was not thrill of victory but there was also no bitter taste of defeat. Everyone was happy. Including me because there was no blood or broken bones.
