Jonathan Adler brings his creative flair to Dallas

Jonathan Adler, celebrity interior designer and purveyor of “happy chic” furniture and home accessories, opened his first Dallas boutique last week. Adler says of his entry to Big D, "Style, craft and joy are the three words that I use to describe the spirit of my work. Among my offerings will be twinkly chandeliers, handmade porcelain pots, bold and graphic rugs that are hand-loomed in Peru, and lots of chic furniture. I have always felt a kinship with Dallas people. They’re playful and stylish at the same time. I hope my store will reflect that."  The store carries an assortment of Adler’s designs including decorative objects, bedding, bath accessories, candles, rugs, pillows, furniture and lighting.

The opening was a mad house and the space was packed with hipsters and fashionistas trying to get a glance at Adler and his just-as-famous and equally fabulous partner, Simon Doonan.  Among the crush was Jack Son, Kimberly Whitman, Steve & Lucy Wrubel with their daughter, Stella, PR maven Barbara Buzzell, Womens Wear Daily contributor Holly Haber, Richard Graziano and Brian Bolke.  To learn some wacky fun facts about Adler, check out Joslyn Taylor's interview over at D Home.
