Sisu brings the sexy sizzle factor to Uptown

Located in a 5,000-square foot historic home that has been completely renovated with modern design and eclectic details, Sisu Uptown Resort encompasses a total of 16,000-square feet of beautiful seaside luxury, albeit landlocked and smack dab in the middle of Uptown, Dallas.  It is not only a restaurant with a distinguished menu of “local worldly” food but also offers fresh cocktails and local brews. The back patio area is accompanied by a new lavish saltwater pool surrounded by palm trees. Guests can enjoy a variety of "rooms" for their dining experience: kitchen, living room, family room, or private upstairs dining room with bar. A hand-carved door imported from Thailand greets guests. Whimsical eccentricities, such as the peacock wallpaper, cacti wall, and fuchsia color theme, provide a funky atmosphere with all the comforts of home.

I sent the uber hip, Brittany Husted over to check this place out for us and here's her report:

"I absolutely loved everything about the eclectic and edgy, yet classy décor used throughout the restaurant and VIP lounge area. Everything was black, white, and pink except for the mural downstairs…a definite conversation starter! I must say though, one of my favorite spaces was the peacock bathroom upstairs. Oh, and I can’t forget the cactus wall out by the pool!
After the grand tour I realized I had worked up quite an appetite... I guess Executive Chef Stefon Rishel heard my stomach rumbling because the next thing I knew he was bringing me samples of his culinary masterpieces. Everything I tasted was magnificent, but some of my favorites were the Duck Confit Quesadillas and Prime Angus Sliders with Vadalia Jam. Chef Rishel also took me on a quick tour of his fresh herb garden where he gets many of his daily ingredients…pretty cool!
Now on to the cocktails! Lucky me got a chance to chat with Dan Bui, managing partner, who happened to be behind the bar when I went for a drink. He whipped up a few beverages, which were nothing short of AMAZING! I highly recommend the Orange Julius, Super-fruit Sangria, and Detox-tini. I can assure you that Sisu will be the new hot spot and celeb hangout (Tony Romo showed up just an hour after I left). The brunch menu looks terrific and I will be there next weekend to try the Texas Benedict. See you there!" - Brittany Husted
