Purses with a Purpose 2012

The 3rd Annual CCCS of Greater Dallas Financial Literacy Event "Purses with a Purpose" was held at the Samuel Lynne Galleries on October 16, 2012. I get a lot of invitations, but anything with "Purses" in the title catches my attention!

NBC 5 morning anchor, Deborah Ferguson, was the Mistress of Ceremonies and the event featured silent and live auction plus an elegant wine pull.  The auction featured lots of jewelry, trips, photography sessions, restaurant packages and - you got it - high fashion bags.

Kathaleen Bauer, chair of the volunteer host committee, greeted guests and worked the room like a pro, encouraging bids on those auction items. Proceeds from this event will go to provide free financial education and counseling for women and families in special need.

And in these economic times, who couldn't use financial counseling and support! Kudos to CCCS for the great work they are doing!
