Shop Local/Shop Smart: Navajo Silver Accessories by Jason Lenox

Stamped Wine Coaster with Turquoise ($99)
Oh So Cynthia is about showcasing the city of Dallas and what makes it a fabulous place to live.  Although I love the luxe life, I'm a girl with champagne tastes on a soda-pop budget, so I am all about smart shopping.

Throughout the holiday season, I will be bringing you a series of posts that will combine both of these concepts called Shop Local/Shop Smart, bringing you great gift ideas for under $250 from local designers and retailers.

Jason Lenox is best known as the proprietor of Anteks, but he is making a name for himself with a new line of home accessories that is currently sold at Anteks as well as other popular local vendors like the Modern Museum of Fort Worth, Gypsy Wagon and Pinto Ranch.

I am always looking for unique gifts for that hard-to-buy-for person. You want a gift to be personal, but sometimes you have a person that you can't buy clothes or jewelry for becasue you aren't sure of their size or taste. Gifts for the home are always thoughtful and appreciated.

The line of Navajo -style silver accessories features affordable and one of a kind items for men or women.  These items are all hand made in a small shop by skilled artisans. Using solid German silver (an alloy containing nickel and copper) artisans create unique pieces that resemble the work of turn-of-the-century Navajo Indians.

The stones are all natural and the finish is what we call "polished vintage". These items all have a nice weight and feel good in your hand. Each of these southwestern silver accessories will be slightly unique.
