Pat Smith is celebrating women who have overcome adversity

Pat Smith’s personal journey and setbacks have made her the person she is today and through her charity, Treasure You, she is helping other women find a renewed sense of power and purpose. In partnership with the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, Pat Smith’s Treasure You will celebrate women from Dallas and across the country who have overcome adversity. The “Celebrating Second Chances for Overcomers” event will be hosted by Treasure You founder and TV host, Pat Smith, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas on Saturday, Jan. 18. Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts will be the keynote speaker, sharing the challenges and fighting spirit she used to overcome cancer. The event is by invitation only but the “Celebrating Second Chances for Overcomers” event will be streamed live on TreasureYou.org at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 18.

The event will feature many stories that will inspire and motivate. Overcomers include:

~ Sarah Jakes – the daughter of Bishop T.D. Jakes who has shared her own deep setbacks to help women transform their circumstances
~ Antoinette Tuff – the suburban Atlanta elementary-school bookkeeper whose heroism prevented a mass school shooting
~ Cindi Broaddus – Dr. Phil McGraw's sister–in–law, an ordinary woman transformed by tragedy when an unknown assailant threw a gallon–sized jar full of sulphuric acid off an overpass and through the windshield of her car.

Pat will be awarding three lucky women a chance to participate in this extraordinary event. If you know  someone - or are someone - who has overcome adversity you can apply to win! Winners will have their stories highlighted at the "Celebrating Second Chances for Overcomers" event and will receive: Two tickets to the "Celebrating Second Chances for Overcomers" event at the Hyatt Regency Dallas on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, One ticket for lunch with Robin Roberts and Pat Smith on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, a Package of Treasure You Jewelry, inspired by Pat Smith and more surprises!
