Last night I headed to Fireside Pies to enjoy their annual Peach Fest celebration. Each year, the head chef of Fireside Pies visits Cooper Farms in Fairfield to hand-select peaches that are featured in a series of seasonal recipes. This year entrees include a savory and sweet Smoked Ham & Peach Pizza Pie, a Tito’s Peach Basel Gimlet, Peach White Sangria and their ever-popular Peach Market Crisp, which is comprised of warm peaches, oatmeal, pecan streusel and topped with praline ice cream. These seasonal peach offerings are available now through July 6th. For this year's #FiresidePeachFest celebration, Fireside Pies has partnered with local vendors including Mozzarella Co., Village Baking Co., Local Oven and Henrys Homemade Ice Cream. A portion of the proceeds from this menu will go to Dallas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Launched in 2004, Fireside Pies is now a collection of intimate neighborhood restaurants dedicated to serving outstanding artisan pizzas made in hot wood-fired ovens, as well as items that naturally compliment pizza such as market fresh salads, craveable appetizers, housemade desserts, fine wines, craft beers and scratch cocktails. Each Fireside Pies restaurant reflects the character of its neighborhood so no two are the same. http://www.firesidepies.com
