Fashion Group International of Dallas (FGI Dallas) will host their annual Night of Stars on November 10, 2017 at the Hall of State at Fair Park. As in previous years, the glamorous event will honor individuals and businesses for their contribution to fashion and related industries with Career Achievement and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Angela Missoni will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Missoni is heir to one of the most famous fashion brands in the world and has emerged as a successful designer in her own right. She is the third child of Tai and Rosita Missoni, the co-founders of the Italian brand famous for its kaleidoscope and zigzag knits. Angela began assisting her mother in the conception and creation of the women’s collections at the age of eighteen. Today Angela is co-owner of Missoni S.p.A., along with her brother Luca. Beyond her role as creative director of the women’s collection, she assumes sole responsibility for the company’s style, including the men’s collection and licences. Angela is also totally committed to infusing the family brand with new energy. In just a few years, Missoni fashion has taken on a fresh new identity. As for the Missoni shows, they again mark important and popular occasions and make an authoritative, international statement in the communication of trends and ideas.

Joyce Goss & Kenny Goss will be named as Art Patrons of the Year. This dynamic duo have reinvigorated the Dallas art world through their work at the Goss-Michael Foundation. Kenny Goss is well known as the co-founder, along with his former partner music icon George Michael, of The Goss-Michael Foundation. His sister-in-law, Joyce Goss, is the Executive Director of The Goss-Michael Foundation. The Foundation is internationally renowned for its Goss-Michael Collection of important contemporary and modern British art.

Nasiba Adilova will be honored with the Career Achievement in Business award. This mother of two set out to build an online luxury destination that promoted safe, clean, health conscious yet chic products. Created in 2016, The Tot is a one-stop-shop for women everywhere seeking not only the best and safest brands for children, but also a place to connect with industry experts and other parents.

Marilyn Sullivan will receive the Career Achievement in Education. Sullivan is the Fashion Marketing Program Coordinator in the Business, Design, and Public Service Division of El Centro College.

Michael Aram will receive an accolade for Career Achievement in Design. Aram is an American born artist who works primarily in metal. Aram's work reflects humanity through the directness of the handmade process, as each piece is lovingly made using age old traditional techniques. The artisan nature of the work imbues it with a soulful quality and an energy, which Aram feels is only possible with work, which reflects the hand of the maker. Bridging the gap between the artist and artisan is a hallmark of Michael Aram's work.
