Mike and Anita Devlin Share Their Family's Story of Addiction and Recovery at the 34th Annual CARE Breakfast

Mike Devlin with his Mother, Anita Baglaneas Devlin
The 34th Annual CARE Breakfast to be held the morning of Monday, November 12th at the Renaissance Hotel and will feature Anita Baglaneas Devlin and her son Mike Devlin. Anita and Mike will share about his battle with drug addiction.

With a seemingly perfect life with a loving family, good grades, and the top spot on his high school lacrosse team, Anita was in denial that her son could be an addict. But when faced with losing him, Anita faced his battles, along with hers, with bravery and determination. This powerful motherson story is chronicled in their co-authored book, S.O.B.E.R*.

Mike has been in Dallas since 2011 and has been very involved as a respected lacrosse coach, and is well-known in the recovery community. Terry Bentley Hill will serve as Honorary Chair, and the Highland Park High School True Grit and Arrows Clubs will be honored with the Margaret Sharpe Award. Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church is this year’s Community Partner Award recipient.

Bank of Texas is returning for another year as Presenting Sponsor. Registration for the event is now open. More details are available at care-dallas.org.
