Highlights from Fashion's Night Out 2012

We came, we saw, we shopped! Last night was the 4th annual Fashion's Night Out event and shops all across the Dallas-area (and around the world) held runway shows, had designer and celebrity appearances, special gifts-with-purchase, parties and more to celebrate the Fall shopping season. I was partnered with NorthPark Center and they pulled out ALL the stops producing three amazing runway shows showcasing stunning fashions for Fall.

I caught up with Pat Smith at Gregory's, sipped champagne with Heidi Dillon in The Fashionista's lounge, ooh'd and ahh'd over outifts with CBS reporter Teresa Frosini, socialites Carmaleta Whiteley, Doris Jacobs and Barbara Daske and journalist Jane McGarry.  I wrapped up my night at Highland Park Village noshing on sushi with celebrity chef Tre Wilcox, Bravo TV's Courtney Kerr and HGTV's Hilari Younger and Mikal Welch.  FNO 2012 did not disappoint!

Talking FNO on DFW Close Up with Ashley Roberts

Fashion's Night Out is just days away and this morning I sat down with CW33's Ashley Roberts to talk about the hottest places to hit on this exciting evening. I hope to see everyone at NorthPark Center on Thursday, September 6.  I will be at The Fashionistas lounge to catch the runway shows at 6, 7 and 8PM. In between, I will be wandering from one end of NPC to the other checking out the happenings at Neiman Marcus, Pinto Ranch, Aveda, Gregory's and more!

I have so many readers ask how they hook up with me on September 6th during Fashion's Night Out to Ooh! and Ahh! over each others outfits and grab a quick pic for Instagram.

I would love to see as many of you as possible, but I am going to be strutting my stuff from one end of NorthPark to the other all night to bring you all the highlights live from the see-and-be-scene!

The best way to find me for a photo opp will be during one of the three fashion shows hosted by NPC. I will be observing the shows in the lounge hosted by THE FASHIONISTAS.

THE FASHIONISTAS will host an exclusive lounge in NorthCourt where other style mavens will have chance to enjoy the three runway shows, a special surprise from FRESH, and relax with a sparkling glass of champagne.

Shoppers and guests will experience the biggest shopping party in North Texas featuring runway shows, live music, fashionable food, and in-store events.

Save the Date: Simply Summer...Fashionably Fall at Neiman Marcus

One of the reasons I am thrilled to have partnered with NorthPark Center for Fashion's Night Out is the high caliber and scope of events they will be bringing you.  From runway shows to gifts-with-purchase to designer appearances, NorthPark Center is going to be THE place to see and be seen. 

One of my stops will be to join co-chairs Leigh Bailey, Emily Eisenhauer and Kim Lewis-Gleason for Simply Summer…Fashionably Fall benefiting Turtle Creek Recovery Center. This year’s event will have a new twist as guests of Simply Summer…Fashionably Fall enjoy the ultimate the VIP experience at Neiman Marcus NorthPark’s Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday, September 6.

The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m in the NM Café located on the third floor of Neiman Marcus NorthPark with a cocktail reception exclusively for SSFF guest only.After mingling, sipping signature cocktails and noshing on passed hors d’oeuvres, stylish patrons will head downstairs for the “Art of Fashion Runway Show.”  All Simply Summer guests will have reserved seats as they are the first to see the season’s trends.

Posh patrons will then head back up to the NM Café for an exclusive FNO after-party complete with hip beats by DJ Jennifer Miller and DJ Paul Paredes, more cocktails and delicious food stations including:  an NM Café signature station with deviled eggs three ways - with lobster, caviar and classic, smoked salmon canapé and petite foccacia sandwiches; a Tex-Mex inspired station complete with summer corn cakes with avocado slaw and Mexican crema, pulled pork and jack cheese empanadas and bacon wrapped crab stuffed jalapenos; and the third station featuring artichoke poppers with parmesan and creamy spicy yogurt sauce, mini steak sandwiches and Cuban style pigs in a blanket. Additional activities will include henna tattoos, a fortune teller and photo booth and maybe one or two more surprises!

All guests will leave with a swag bag from Neiman Marcus NorthPark. Of course the reason for all of the fun is the beneficiary, Turtle Creek Recovery Center, who serves adults who suffer from mental illness and an addiction.  TCRC helps clients get their lives back on track with sobriety, a job and a place to live.
