Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. I was always more about the treats than the tricks. Why should getting dressed up in a fun costume be reserved for little kids! Kids of all ages have a plethora of options all around Dallas to enjoy this spooktacular holiday. Here are a just a few of my favorite picks:
The Foodie Experience Fall-O-Ween Fest will take place on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 at the historic Longhorn Ballroom (ages 21 and up welcome). Come as you are or in your favorite Halloween costume and enjoy an evening of all-inclusive food and beverages, live entertainment, a silent auction with charity partner North Texas Food Bank. The event will be hosted at Dallas’ second oldest and most famous live music venue and cultural landmark, the Longhorn Ballroom. Friday and Saturday nights’ feasts will feature tastings from more than 50 chefs, restaurants and culinary artisans, including top restaurants Tillman’s Roadhouse, Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse, Knife, Meso Maya and many more. There will be a variety of tasty vegan and vegetarian offerings as well as tempting desserts to satisfy the most discriminating sweet tooth. Don't miss dozens of sensational wines, craft beers and a variety of spirits and exquisite mixed-cocktails as part of the all-inclusive night. Dance the night away on Friday evening with “the greatest disco band in the world,” Le Freak. Costume wearers can show off their best costume at the evening’s costume contest, with three winners each night winning cash and other great prizes.
