Tips and Tricks for Traveling Through DFW Airport
Being constantly on the go means that I am always looking for ways to maximize my time, especially when it comes to traveling. I was thrilled when DFW Airport asked me to partner with them to share some of my favorite things about traveling through DFW Airport. What I love about DFW Airport is that it helps to save me time and doesn't interfere with my
lifestyle. The newly redesigned and easy to read wayfinding signs make getting to the terminal a breeze, and as someone who’s a self admitted design and typography nerd, they aren't too hard on the
eyes either. As soon as I pull into the garage I'm greeted by a digital display that tells me exactly how many
parking spots are available and what section to find them in. No more blindly circling around for
eternity hoping that the parking gods show you mercy. As soon as a spot opens up an overhead
light turns green letting you know you're cleared for landing. When you're a blogger, inspiration can strike at any time so you need to be able to post at a
moments notice even while traveling. DFW Airports conveniently located charging stations are
readily available throughout the terminal and ensure that I never have to worry about running
out of sweet, sweet battery juice when I need to make an update. I’ve always been a firm believer in mixing business with pleasure and with Free
Wifi throughout the entire terminal I can get that work done anywhere. With work done, I’m free to explore the wide variety of retail options the terminal has to offer.
Digital directories show me exactly where all the shops are located and if touchscreens aren’t
your thing, there's always a smiling face nearby to help you.
DFW Airport
You have arrived.
Look for special appearances in the video above by Jane McGarry, Jack Son, Fashion X and #RHOD's LeeAnne Locken. Thanks to Blushington for making me pretty and Stanley Korshak for styling me for this project.

The ABC's of Back To School Style from NorthPark Center
Can you believe that Summer is almost over and the kids are going back to school? Where has the time gone!? Like it or not, the start of a new school year is here again and with that comes the need for some stylish new attire. Today, I visited my friends at WFAA's Good Morning Texas on behalf of NorthPark Center to talk about the hottest trend for kids as they head back to the classroom. W.C Fields said, "Never work with animals or children" because they will eclipse you every time. The kids I worked with this morning were so fun and sweet, I didn't even care.

How To Have A Great Girls Night Out In Dallas
Cynthia Smoot with WFAA's Jane McGarry and the Ft. Worth Star Telegram's Food Editor, Bud Kennedy talking about great spots for a Girls Night Out at Scardello |
Having great girlfriends is a crucial part of my happiness. My husband tries to empathize and be supportive about certain things, but he will never truly understand some of my issues around my body, child-rearing, and (let's face it) our marriage. Only another woman can nod along and know exactly what you are talking about when you go off on how your man left the toilet seat up for the 10,000th time or how he got you a vacuum cleaner for your birthday "because you said you needed one". There are endless articles about how to strengthen your marriage and keep the love alive. But friendships are much like a marriage - you have to dedicate quality time to any relationship if it's going to flourish and stay the course. Today, I visited the set of Good Morning Texas to chat with Jane McGarry about some of my favorite ways to get enjoy a Girls Night Out in Dallas. Watch the segment and let me know if I left off a favorite haunt or yours. I'm always looking for fun new options. Click to see the segment(s) and hopefully you'll discover one r two new things to try with your gal pals. Cheers!

Oh So Techy: 5miles Hits Dallas
Sponsored:
I visited the set of Good Morning Texas on Tuesday to share a new discovery with their audience. In case you missed the segment, I thought I'd share it here as well! 5miles allows users to buy and sell items and services with their smart phone. Users can snap a photo, enter a text or voice description, and sell to thousands of potential buyers within seconds. 5miles uses a phone's location to reach a multitude of buyers and sellers in an immediate area. Introduced in 2014, 5miles today has two million active users and facilitates $100 million in transactions within the local economy. The app, which is totally free for both buyers and sellers, has a visual design similar to Pinterest, allowing users to browse images of items sorted by what’s closest to them or search and filter for specific items or services. Safer to use than Craigslist, 5miles provides user ratings and Facebook and phone verification to help users feel confident that they are trading with real people, not scammers. The company’s “Awesome Experience” team checks every item to ensure it matches strict safety guidelines. 5miles customers now can use the app to find local providers of services such as housekeeping and lawn care. In addition, the app also helps users tap into available housing and jobs in their area. To learn more about 5miles, visit 5milesapp.com, or go to the App Store or Google Play to download the app for iPhone or Android devices.
