For those of you who live outside the area, University Park and Highland Park are together called Park Cities. Citizens of these fabled towns are called "Parkies".Hence, my weekly fun feature which I call "Parkie Pic of the Week" in which I like to highlight an unusual or spectacular feature of my neighborhood.
If you are a regular reader of this site, you know I love a stone facade. I am drawn to this hunting lodge look: the muted stone, kind of gray and weathered.
Not loving the Aggie banner on the porch - but we'll let that slide. As I walked down the sidewalk after taking this photo, I got a chuckle at the antlers hanging on their fence looming over the GMC truck. It is like a hunting lodge!Bubba Warbucks, "I like to kill me some critters! Um-hum. Then I hang 'em in my house to remind me of what a man I am."
Mama Jr. League," Well honey, let's build a house right in the middle of the city that will make you feel like your hunting all the time!"
