Hilltop Glossy is now D StyleSheet

Kristi and Scot Redman
Hilltop Glossy was the brainchild of Scot and Kristi Redman. For the last year and a half, the photo blog's concept was to shoot SMU students around campus who had an interesting fashion style or personal flare about them.

Word came yesterday that D Magazine has acquired the site, and the Redmans along with it, and has renamed this venture StyleSheet.

FrontBurner's, Jason Heid explained, "We fell in love with this great little website called “Hilltop Glossy,” which focused on the fashions of SMU students, and was run by two SMU film graduates (who also work as church youth ministers) named Kristi and Scot Redman.

Their love for their subject matter, and their love for life, came through loud and clear on their site. When we decided to launch our own fashion blog on DMagazine.com, we could think of no better partners for the enterprise."

I find it interesting that they would choose to dilute their own web traffic with yet another blog instead of merging this concept with their existing fashion and style blog, ShopTalk, which already has a following.

Kristi Redman said of the partnership, "D was a fan (of ours). And we are a fan of theirs. And so, D StyleSheet was created! It's the perfect match!  Hilltop Glossy was primarily a SMU-centric fashion blog. D StyleSheet will expand to cover all fashion throughout Dallas."

With the addition of StyleSheet, D Magazine staffers are now operating 8 blogs.  Sources at D say that "transformations" are underway with regards to the fashion blogs but were reluctant to say more. I guess we will have to wait and see what they have in store for us!
